Zanier diode? (sp?)

Could someone tell me if and where a zanier (sp?) diode could be found in a 1970-71 60hp 3 cylinder selectric (evinrude). A complete wiring diagram would also be nice. ( I have a similar thread in johnson/evinrude but it looks better suited here) Thanks

Hmmm...tried to do a search....are you sure it is not called a zener diode????

unfortunately it is covered in an epoxy or something so you can see it....it also old and wouldn't look like a modern one.
