Ditto and what zerk fitting?

Grease fitting in my parts. As in I need a new zerk fitting for my truck.

I'd gander to say the head broke off, and the threaded part fell inside of the lower unit housing...

zerk on a yamaha outboard motor shaft

Yamaha makes motors from 2hp to 350hp and has been doing so for decades. Each motor has 4 shafts (tilt, pivot, vertical, prop)....... Help us help you

Specifically, what motor, what year, which shaft, got a pic?

*Most* outboard housings are just that, a housing. The only thing spinning in there is the driveshaft, everything else is covered. IF any remnant's made it down to the lower unit, they would just lay there till it's serviced next time.
However, IF the threaded part of the zerk went in to the section that gets the grease, it could damage a bushing or bearing.
Was it a threaded zerk, or a pressed in type? I've seen the pressed in ones just pop out before.

The answer is still no. The fitting has no place to fall into. Check your grease gun if it broke off while greasing.
