Hello:

I'm new to your forum and so far I have found a lot of helpful info.

I've read many threads regarding bottom paint, anodes, etc for using/storing aluminum pontoon boats in saltwater. I have a 24' 'toon that will be in a slip in the Gulf of Mexico at the end of the month, for 3 months. I need to install zinc anodes, but do not know what size I need, where to buy them, or where/how to attach them to the pontoon logs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance...

I added small ones to the brackets on the back of my toons. I'm not really sure you need them if you use bottom paint, make sure the paint is for alum. Copper based paint will eat the alum.

You can buy the anodes at any good hardware store, or iboats store or West or where-ever. My philosophy is to never skimp on size, always get the biggest one that will fit on the brackets at the back of the pontoons without interfering with your transducer or live well aerator pump.
