zinc question for outboards

i was talkin to a guy about how an aluminum outboard with stainless bolts dont really go well togeather he said that new engines have a zinc bar bolted to them that stop the corrosion.my engine is old (1971)should it have that ?

my engine is ran in saltwater mostly. i more stupid question what and where is the "motor ventilation plate"
