Hi, are the zincs on my outboard enough or should I have one on my boat too? It is a 2000 Fisher aluminum used in saltwater. It isn't left in the water and it is stored in a garage as well. How and where would I mount a zinc to the boat? Does it go above or below the water line? Thanks for any info.

Re: ZINC questions

you only need zincs if it is left in the water. If they were needed, they would go under water. Charlie

Re: ZINC questions

Too late! I mounted a transom one over the weekend. I used stainless steel hardware with 3M 5200 sealant around the bolts. It looks good and should last for years.
