Late Summer/early Fall I had the zincs replaced on my SeaRay 270 Sundancer. I had the boat taken out of the water a few days ago and the zincs were more than halfway eroded. I was told that there may be a large zinc that can be attached to the stern that could help with the problem. Anyone have any ideas on this. I have never seen such a zinc. I will be selling this boat in the Spring so it will be moved from its current slip. I don't know whether my boat is causing the erosion problem or if it is a neighbors boat. <br />Thanks

Re: Zincs

The first thing to check is that you have zincs in all the places that you should have them.2 acorns on each base of the bellhousing.1 waffle looking zinc under the belhousing.1 skeg zinc on each drive.2 collar zincs on each set of lift cylinder arms(1 on each arm).1 plate zinc on each trim tab. Then after they are all tightened and surfaces cleaned properly you have to make certain that the drive is bonded to the belhousing and the belhousing is bonded to the transom plate etc....Get a manual and see where each bonding wire is so you can check properly.Charlie
