Greetings all,
On my Sylvan 21' cuddy. The top, mooring covers, and side curtains are in good shape. It is just the plastic zippers are deteriated to not usable. Is there a place that I could ship them to and have the zippers replaced?
Or any other alternatives.
Thanks,
Fitz.

Thanks for the prompt reply Bondo,
But the nearest "shop" is 100 miles. You think a local taylor or drapery shop could do such
Fitz.

Re: Zipper replacement?

I worked at a shoe repair shop throughout high school. A common misconception about "Cobblers" is that they only fix shoes. I can't count how many boat canvases, Jeep tops, suitcase zippers, and tents we fixed over those four years. Give your local shoe repair guy a shot. You've got to have one of those in the area.

Keep in mind, he may look old and scary, but these guys are one of the last few "craftsmen" in the US IMO.

Otherwise...

Go to http://www.shoerepairplus.com he takes shipped items, and ships them back. I can swear by his handiwork, because I used to work with him day in and out. He's a trustworthy man who I'd honesty trust my life with. He'll take care of you and be honest whether he can fix it properly for your or not.

Sean
