Zodiac Floor Problem

Hi, iv had a Zodiac MK1 Gt for a couple of years now, bought second hand and has always had this problem with the flooring. It is an aluminium floor with a wooden front panel which is under the windscreen thingy at the front. Whenever i blow up the boat and put in the flooring the section of wooden flooring connecting the aluminium section to the wooden section under the windscreen appears to be under tension. It is a floating piece held onto the boat on each side by a piece of material. This would automatically tell be this board is not ment to have any tension due to the weak joinging method. However the aluminium boards push the pannel forwads and therefore put the material under tension. The otherday the glue holding the material onto the board gave way. And although this does not appear to have made much difference i would still like to know whether this is normal or if there is something wrong, i.e the front board is too short or the aluminium floor too long.

Cheers

Re: Zodiac Floor Problem

Does it have an inflatable keel under the floorboard? That would give it more support, also there should be straps on the Transom to hold the deck from moving forward.
