    what "book" It's been my experience that it needs to be clean. the dielectric grease would be fine.

    Windshields often dont even have gaskets on the mating surface. You could put a bead of silicone down if you want.

    Thanks Mike for your response. The manual calls for "1/2 oz insulating compound". Not sure what that is.

    Every car I've owned had much greater inner wear than outer. Guessing anything reasonably sporty runs with a good amount of negative camber.
