Hammering on a Flywheel/Crankshaft is NEVER Good Idea. Thermal Shock might work, though heating the Flywheel can create other problems...

Steering wheel puller, impact or hand wrench very tight. One big smack gets mine Everytime. Big hammer. Show picture of your puller.
