lakeman1999, your last post still only narrows it down to the relays, the switch, or the wiring in between them. It varifies that the motor will operate in both directions, but does not rule out the relays.<br /><br />Instead of switching the wires, swap the relays and test it. Relays are cheap, 2 for $11 from Mercury.<br /><br />What do you have, a commander 3000, with the "3000" printed just in front of the center of the handle? <br />AFTER you retest the relays, if you really need to get at the switch, then:<br />Push in on the throttle only button at the handle pivot. Push throttle forward. You can now remove the throttle only button by pulling straight out. Remove the now exposed nut, remove handle. Then you remove the shift lock handle (screw). That exposes another screw up near the switch, remove it. Now switch can be removed.
