The presence of illegal aliens in our country and our failure to control their entry is a problem worth debating and doing something about.
All this whining and griping about language really confuses the issue and unfairly attacks many persons who are here legally. No law requires them to converse in English or you to converse in any other language.
Get straight what you are angry about and focus on the REAL causes. It ain't facility with English.
Right on the money, as usual... hate it when that happens 8)
The real issue is the temerity of these people to hold mass protests, go on strike, and act like we owe them something because they do domestic and agricultural work... and want us to change our laws to accommodate them !!!!
Around here most of the Motel maids are Hispanic. I live in The Lilly Capital of the World, most of the field workers are Hispanic. The only other industry here, besides tourism and fishing, is the lumber/timber industry.
When I first came here I got a job in the Lilly fields for minium wage, got up an hour early each morning and went to the lumber mill to check for work before going to the fields for 8 hrs... after 2 weeks they got tired of seeing my face and hired me. Today 1/2 the workers in the mill are Hispanic, all you have to have is a green card, but YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT CARD, or it's back to the field.
My point is, incase you missed it, if you play the game by the rules, you are good to go, if not, you should be called out for fouls. No self-respecting business will hire illegals, if you come to this country just do the paperwork, then you have nothing to bi*ch about.
