You complain that Muslim leaders don't condemn Al Qaeda, then you complain when they do. How many people standing in the streets shouting in protest does it take before you get it? You seem to have a better understanding of Al Qaeda and Islam than the United States Government, the Pope, and the billion or so peaceful Muslims. Where did you acquire this vast knowledge?

And if you read it the first time why ask for it the second.

Bottom line! My only son is in boot camp as this is being written. I want our country and all countries that stand with us, to totally annihilate any country that terrorists may feel safe or condones their activity. SCREW the talking. It is BS. Do or die. I believe that we had better tell the middle east.....the TOTAL middle east what we expect and what the consequences will be if they do not follow or get the fk out. What is the alternative? Turn our country into a singular entity. Lock the rest of the world out. Post our armies at all our borders. Fk the rest of the world. Or......totally annihilate the problem. Let civilized people live in peace and not have to worry about the POS that doesn't deserve the time of day. I"m sorry if I offend. I feel that now severe actions need to be taken. Sheesh!!! All this about a silly stamp? This, to the USPS, is simply all about money.

Do you have any idea how many stamp collectors are out there? And the stamps have more value if they are in a unused, uncancelled condition.

What other business do you know that can get people to buy their product without using the service it provides? They are also putting out motorcycle stamps. I wonder if they support Hells Angels and the drug trade?

I applaud the USPS in knowing what their market is, and the clientele, and appeal to that while keeping the costs of their service reasonably low.

I didn't give a rats ass what went on in the Middle East. Let them kill eachother over whatever reason they may have. Now that it affects peaceful civilians it's a different story. Now knowing that the children are taught to hate Americans makes a difference.

As if plenty of fundamentalist Christians in this country don't teach hate to THEIR children as well. Not all of them, obviously, but there are plenty that do.

I think that the rabid fundamentalists of all stripes should be loaded up with plenty of weaponry and given a nice, secure, out of the way place to have at each other.

And those of us who can tolerate differences in opinions, lifestyles and ideas about god can get back to the business of living life without being bombed, shot, stabbed or otherwise harassed and injured by the fundies. I want no part in the Holy Wars, and I suspect that most people around the world, no matter where they are from or what kind of god(s) they worship, feel the same way.

So let's see... how many religious leaders here whipped the crowds up in the celebration of those atrocities? How many went to church that day and said the perpetrators were saints? How many religious leaders asked for more killers to come forward and smite the abortionists? How many collected funds for more attacks? Gave a death pension to the killers families?

You really need to get a perspective on this... and maybe even search your soul.

Actually unlike some here I am man enough to admit that I am. We ALL select what we want to see in articles etc. If we didnt we wouldnt have any discussion. You on the other hand, along with a few others here think that for whatever reason they have everything so figured out that they can't possibly be wrong.

Ya know what, until you guys can figure out that ISLAM is different than GOVERNMENTS that hate us, we can't have a meaningful discussion. Of course you guys don't discuss anything really, its all sarcasm, put downs, and all sorts of crap that I read as "I am so right and you all are morons." We are all guilty of that at somepoint I suppose. The forum makes this hard as you can't see facial expressions or hear the way something is said.

The stamp isn't insulting to any victoms of terroists attacks. I happen to know a few people who had relatives die in the WTC attack and they told me they don't find it offensive.....They are smart enough to figure out that Islam isn't the problem. Its a group of extremists who only follow Islam because a few passages in the Koran suit their needs IF they interpret it the way they want to.

Islam doesn't hate anyone... it's a religion, a religion that many Governments and religious leaders use to promote hatred of "The Great Satan".... enlist suicide bombers.... collect funds for terrorists.... the list goes on, and on, and on....

I agree. And having Muslim friends and colleagues who are good people and loyal Americans, it pains me to think of them being included with the Governments and religious leaders you are speaking out against. They don't deserve it and they certainly don't deserve to be the target of hate-speech, death threats or even acts of violence, as some of them have been. Not saying you ever have or ever would - just wanted you to know where I'm coming from.

I can't say I have Muslim friends as we don't have any Muslim around here, at least that I know of... That said, when I was in Sacramento in 1990-91 I ended up friends with a family of Iraqis, good people, citizens, and the most exuberant supporters of the 1st Gulf war... they had the windows of their liquor store broken, cars trash, house windows broken, etc.... didn't change the way they felt, didn't change the out come of the war.

Also doesn't change the way I feel now. We know where the money comes from, countries like Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, etc..... and right here at home from some resident alien Moslems.

We need to get serious about this "war on terror" and deport the non-citizen Moslems, take the source of the wealth from counties that support terrorists, and bomb counties like Syria back to the stone age they live in... sounds harsh, but sometimes you have to throw the baby out with the bath water... I know, innocent’s will be killed.... well they are being killed right now, and they are MY innocent’s.

That's where I'm coming from.

When regular gas got up to $3.33 a gallon around here I was sure that would put some pressure on people, but I still see one person after another pull up to the local store in a big old SUV or pickup truck and go inside to check their mail, visit, drink some coffee etc and LEAVE that big ol V8 engine idling outside for five or ten minutes, filling the pockets of the House of Saud and others, while the flag stickers and the "kick terrorist butt" or whatever stickers are plastered on the rear bumper. Obviously, gas is not expensive enough yet.

As for your willingness to kill innocents to hurt your enemies, in that regard you are no different than those who were willing to kill innocents in THIS country on 9/11, in their quest to hurt THEIR enemies. Personally, I find that abhorrent, no matter whose flag is being waved, or whose version of God is being quoted.

Woodrat. I think Custombycrunch is refering to the collateral damage that occurs in all out war. Civilians are not targets. There is a big difference between what he describes and what you are comparing it to. I don't think that there is one American that would dream of hijacking a commercial airliner full of civilians and ramming it into a skyscraper full of civilians.

I don't know if you are married, but I know how my wife would react if she had to dress head to toe with a veil, walk 3 steps behind me... not go out in public without a male escort.... not be able to vote or drive a car.... be denied an education, etc.

I was being facetious. I was surpized and did get a kick out of how the Saudis explained why a woman cannot drive becuase it is unsafe. The reason it's unsafe is what shocked me. Stone age????? Yep!
