I'm sick of politics. Let's discuss religion.

[JB]

I had hoped, fruitlessly, that with the election over some of the political squabble would die down, at least until the left screws something up real bad. No hope.

How about this:

All Gods are real.

No Gods are real.

Re: I'm sick of politics. Let's discuss religion.

When I was about 6 years old I remember my extremely religious Babtist grandma telling me that my orthodox Jewish grandma was going to hell.
Not because they didn't get along, they did. But it was only because she was a Jew.

Since then I've explored christian ideaologys and how it squares with what my grandma said. It never did so I never became a christian.

If your explored result of Christian ideologies didn't support your Grandma saying that your Jewish Grandma wouldn't go to heaven,I'm not clear on why that is relative on you never becoming a Christian.

Edit:I think what you were trying to say is that you didn't agree with what your Grandma said and since she symbolized what a Christian was to you that it turned you away from becoming one.The part that confused me was the wording of your closing sentence.

Talk about football gods.
The owners of the tampa bay buccaneers live a double life.In order to make sure that they control football, they also bought the Manchester united football club in England. They have both their footballs covered.

Re: I'm sick of politics. Let's discuss religion.

40% gov Perry from Texas said 2 days before he was reelected that he agreed with a sermon that he attended saying all who did not believe in God and Jesus would go to hell.

Wish he had said it two weeks earlier it might have cost him the 5 % needed to kick his azz out like it should be.

There are boating gods...they frequently demand sacrifices of my flesh, blood and bank accounts.....

Creation evolved. 8)

If there is no God, the psychology of the human race would demand/require one anyway.

One that is sure to draw fire..

Religion is the crutch the weak and immature use to ward off the one irrefutable fact of life.... when you die, you are dead.... forever.
