YUP!! they are at it again, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are attacking those that fish. They have insulted just about every single group up to and including the Boy Scouts.

This animal rights group is now going after fathers who fish. Peta has been distributing leaflets that show a cartoon father cutting up a fish with a message to youngsters, " YOUR DADDY KILLS ANIMAlS."

Also included in the leaflet is a warning to youngsters ; "Until your daddy learns not to kill, keep your doggies and kittens away from him.

Sounds like an Anti-Choice (excuse me, Pro-Life) tactic to me.

I don't like many of their methods, and I don't share most of their more extreme views. But they have the right to their opinions and I support their right to express them as much as anybody else's. Unfortunately for PETA, their extremism alienates them. That's true for all extremists. Still, I'm glad the animals of the world have a human voice speaking for them. They are God's creatures too.

Now hand me the worms so I can catch me some fish. This animal needs to exercise his canine teeth.

When they start treating mosquitos, flies, roaches, ants, snakes, sharks and such ethically I might take them seriously.

But I will still ignore them.

Critters are for eating by predators. Man is a predator.

Don't scoff at this folks. PETA has a huge political influence.

This is not new. PETA has been saying those exact thing to kids for years.

I respect their right to say what they want, but manipulating kids minds who don't have the power of reason to make their own choice, especially potentialy damaging the view of a father in a kid's eye is just crossing a line that no freedom of speech should protect. If they are saying this stuff to free thinking adults then sobeit.

The fish we catch are themselves predators - otherwise we couldn't catch 'em. For every fish I take, I'm saving countless thousands of lives. Bass are vicious indiscriminate killers that must be stopped before they kill again.

Take a look at any commercial on TV. The American adult (father) male is an "idiot" in every one.

As I have stated before: it is a wonder that Conservatives even exist. Kids are forced to go to school by law and the Liberals want to irrationally maintain the monopoly the broken public school system now has. This is more about turning out good little Democrats and Liberals, and maintaining some of the most powerful and influentual Labor Unions that reelect Democrats then it is about results and our precious children learning real critical thinking skills. Kids learn how Sally has two Moms, or li'l Johnny has two Dads (and that is totally natural and acceptable to everyone except those "mean spirited Conservatives") rather then learning 2 + 2 = 4, or American history so they can think for themselves. The Fems, (good Libs in the trenches as well) have put their thumbprint on things by teaching our kids that Dads are basically worthless wallets and or sperm banks. The Universities are radical Liberal and intollerent of any competing ideologies, and the so called "mainstream media" is full of Liberal elites who are intolerant of any other bias then theirs, and routinely edit out any real news or facts that conflict with their views. Thank God, (I know that offends Libs too), that Conservatives still exist. Respectfully JR

Iv'e met a few people from both Peta and Green Peace, there actually pretty cool people till you mention there cause.........Man it's like they become a member of a occult.............almost fanatical and give no quarter.

It's the new Lefts ticket to Heaven, TG. The more you care about something, doesn't really matter a lot what it is, the more points you get toward your afterlife. Not sure what that is in a Godless Universe, but hey, gotta respect their right.....
