I`m sorry if this has been discussed before.

"TOKYO ROSE"

Tokyo Rose During World War II -- the Japanese developed a way to demoralize the American forces. Psychological warfare experts developed a message they felt would work.

They gave the script to their famous broadcaster " Tokyo Rose" and every day she would broadcast this same message packaged in different ways, hoping it would have a negative impact on American GI's morale.

What was that demoralizing message? It had three main points:

1. Your President is lying to you.

2. This war is illegal.

3. You cannot win the war.

Does this sound familiar?

Is it because Tokyo Hillary, Tokyo Harry, Tokyo John, Tokyo Teddy, Tokyo Nancy, etc. have picked up the same message and are broadcasting it on Tokyo CNN, Tokyo ABC, Tokyo CBS, Tokyo NBC, etc., to our troops?

The only difference is that they claim to support our troops before they demoralize them.

Come to think of it, Tokyo Rose told the troops she was on their side, too!

Tokyo Rose played popular music to get the GIs to listen. When she went into propoganda it was mainly personal. . .naming US personnel and units, "you can't win", your wife is sleeping with some 4F, your cowardly President is lying to you, we know that USS Skate is in the Bungo straights and we are going to send Captain Smith and his crew to the bottom, etc, etc.

Very, very different speil than the dems you name.

Isn't it enough to just tell the truth about them? We don't need fabricated stories like this and the big flap about Pelosi "demanding" this and that.

Some conservatives are playing the same game of exaggeration, fabrication and mythology that the libs have been doing for several years. It's danged embarrassing.:'(

Just today some news came that the pentagon has been deliberately fabricating proof about the el qaida ,Irak connection.
I really understand how you conservatives want to believe a president whom you voted for and whom you trusted to defend our country.However,when the facts catch up with the story that you were told,it is time to reconsider.

Hey JB, I totally agree with you about Pelosi, but the exaggerating to make a point about Tokyo Rose is spot on: IMHO. If you compare your historical take to the 'can't win'; 'Bush lied people died'; 'this war is illegal', SAME STUFF 60 + years later. Sometimes you give the other side too much, (like the mythical Cornstatutional "RIGHT" to marry that you talked about redefining). Respectfully, JR

OK, JB. What Tokyo Rose DID say sounds about the same, but ok. .. The enemy was mis-quoted, and history was in the process of being written by the victors.
Being one of those, I find it humorous and not much else. But it does smack of propaganda anyhow, and as long as Nancy pelosi doesn't come right out and SAY, "you can't win", your wife is sleeping with some 4F, your cowardly President is lying to you, we know that USS Cole is once again in the port of Yemmen and we are going to send Captain Smith and his crew to the bottom, etc, etc.", I'll still see a resemblence when she fights those countrymen/women who are in harm's way.
NO difference I can see -- except Tokyo Rose WAS of Japanese descent, and in Japan, and her propaganda WAS directed toward Japan's enemy. With this present-day batch of Tokyo cutthroats, what is/was the worse blight on our nation? T.Rose durring WWII, or senate against the war on islamic terror?
I see no "gray" here.

What gets me is the Democrats couldn't get their non-binding legislation even off the ground.... so what are they planning?

I think it was Sinclair Lewis that said when Fascism comes to America, it will be draped in a flag, carrying a cross.

The enemy within is probably the biggest danger we face, and identifying exactly who that enemy is might be the toughest task.
