I thought you'd like it on the Right side, SBN. ;)

Congrats to the Dixie Chicks. So much for the boycott, eh?

I could not care any less regarding their opinions or statements, or awards.

BTW, I also believe the only people to be allowed freedom of speech are those that say only what I want to hear. :rolleyes:

He He 8)8), Ever heard of "Country Western" music winning this award before? Not very likely. Hollyweird luvs the left and will reward the left every chance they can get. Again: as I have stated previously: THERE IS A CLEAR TREND HERE. (Must be the ol' stock broker in me that notices that stuff). MSM, Hollywierd movies, all that stuff 'bout freedom o' speech has cornsaquences. As ol' Mark42 said: "I won't be buying any of their music". I'll bet Laddies, (Bob), feels similar. The Dixie Chicks can say anything they like, and have. They may want to cornsider who typically likes upbeat pro America songs. Me, (and most my cornservative buds do). If I have a sneerin' Seattle Lib in my car, (I also luv other types o' music); I don't listen to County, as I don't need the facist attack or loss of business that will potentially follow. Some like Rolmops have said the cornservatives here on iboats are a tiny minority. Doubt it. I know it seems that way 'cause of all the media n' Hollywierd n' all. Look at the trends. (Critical Thinkin' here folks). Since ol' Harry Truman how many Dem Presidents have we had? What's the trends of viewership in the MSM? Hmmmmmmmm, makes ya think: if there's any brain cells left. Maybe not so tiny a minority after all. After the Demographic peak I bet things get more cornservative, as my baby boom generation: (selfish n' self absorbed n' all), now dominates all sectors, and many hate America for some unknown reason. My $.02. JR

At the risk of making a non-political statement, I won't be buying any of their music either. Not because of their statements or politics, but because I think their music stinks. Some performers rise to the top, and it is absolutely beyond me why it happens. This is one.

And you're not by yourself. Their last tour LOST money, and their record sales are somewhere between Christine Agular's and Harry Belafonte's. Which tells me what "values" the group that decides who gets grammy awards want to elevate, or at least what they think makes a group worthy of the thing. So I'll say it again to those who dance with trees;
keep drinkin.
