They insulted the entire USA.

I won't be buying any of their music.
And you're not by yourself. Their last tour LOST money, and their record sales are somewhere between Christine Agular's and Harry Belafonte's. Which tells me what "values" the group that decides who gets grammy awards want to elevate, or at least what they think makes a group worthy of the thing. So I'll say it again to those who dance with trees;
keep drinkin.

Yup 12 Footer, thanks for helpin' make my obvious case. JR

At the risk of making a non-political statement, I won't be buying any of their music either. Not because of their statements or politics, but because I think their music stinks. Some performers rise to the top, and it is absolutely beyond me why it happens. This is one.

Come on now BB. You live in Tennessee don't ya? The Chicks aren't terrible are they? Do ya listen to Country music BB? JR

I listen to very little country music. But I do listen to bluegrass - not the same.

I dunno bout that, Boatbouy. I had two Dipsy Chinks CD's and they were very "blue-grassy" .. Lot's of fiddle and banjo, and very well done. They were awesome musicians, but when they started talkin, they ruined it for me forever... Kinda like Cat Stevens.

That kinda 'splains why ya don't like their music doesn't it: BB? Hope ya don't think I'm insultin' ya 'cause I'm not tryin' to: BB. I think the Chicks music is fine, and I listen to "Country Music": BB. I will not buy their music: BB. Get the cornection? Thanks for your reply. JR

I don't know about the rest of you, but I always support racism. What exactly is a "chink," anyhow? Now, if I was anything like your ole pal Boomyal, I would lump the rest of you righties in with 12.

Not really into country, but this one is not country, it’s a little bluesy, and a little folk, and kinda like an early Dylan. Not bad at all, check it out. And yes Jason your definitely need to get DSL sorry.

I don't like their music and I like their politics a lot less than that.

I am ashamed that they are from Texas.:$

Re: Song Of The Year: DIXIE CHICKS

Thanks for the clarification Haut, although I though "chink" referred to all of Asian heritage. My point was to point out the racism in 12's statement.

I can deal with many, many differences of opinion. Afterall, they are only opinions. Racism, on the other hand, I do not, cannot deal with. These same people who scream out against........I will begin a new thread.
