Semi-seriously, I got a free razor in the mail a few weeks ago. It has six flippin' blades :^ Literally five on the shaving side and a trimming blade on the flip side. Funny thing is I kinda like it. The five blades keep it very flat and I haven't cut myself with it, and the trimming blade keeps me from trying to get too close, plus it is lasting and still giving me a decent shave. It definitely feels weird in the hand, dragging five blades across my face, but I am curious what you guys/gals think (Mrs. QC still steals my razors :| ) .

When the Trak II came out, we all kinda looked sideways at it. Then there was three, if five is good, how about thirteen? When is enough, enough?

I'm still shaving in the shower by feel with my Gillette "Good News" 2 bladed razors.........

Or whichever disposable razor is on Sale at Sam's Club, when the 36ct. Bag runs out.........d

I'm usually with Bondo. I use the free ones I get on International flights and other no names from CostCo and Sam's.

Anyone else remember the SNL commercial parady for Triple Trac three bladed razor? It made fun of the gulible consumer with the tag line:
"Triple Trac, because some people will by anything."

Sometimes you just can't exagerate enough.

I guess I'm lucky - I shave on Monday morning & get 5:00 shadow........on Thursday! I have been using the same electric for 7 yrs & only changed blade/screen once.

Watch out how you title a post QC. I almost did not open it. It had no promise of something meaty, ya know, something to keep my flagging adrenaline level up.

As for the razors, razor companies are trying to do what HP does. Get ya hooked on the product then hemorrhage to keep buying the replacements.

I saw one of those at Wallyworld, quantum something I think it's called. 5 blades to shave with, and one on the flip side for detail trimming of sideburns, etc.

I use a 3 blade and it's light years better than a cheap disposable. I end up buying one pack of shick extreme 3 and they last me all year, one triple blade razor is so good I can shave with it for 3 months.

I told a relative to just buy me a pack of those razors for Christmas each year as her give to me, so I actually don't spend a dime on razors! LOL

Gillette Good News for me. I was aghast when Gillette went to the "swivel head" What a piece of junk! They now have the solid head readily available

Not had much luck with the generic brands They last only 2 or 3 days, and I can get 10 days out of a Gillette.

Why pay $5.00 for one when you can buy a pack of 10 for that or less?

I just looked at the store. Plenty of disposables and blades for 1, 2, 3, and even 4 blade jobs.
No fivers . . .

WITF is right, cheap disposables feel like . . . uh . . . cheap.
