I missed that bekosh, but the weird thing is that, again, I kinda like the 5 + 1 blades, I am a sceptic, and I prefer free razors . . .

No, but you are a skeptic. ;)
Edit: Bob Newhart had a great bit on this about ftmpmfff years ago. Might make a good retrospective.

Gillette three blades for me, but it has a battery that vibrates, makes you think it’s electric, plus you get to buy a battery when it goes dead. Seriously it gets about a month before I have to change blades, and they’re not that expensive at Costco.

See, there you are getting personal, and talking about where someone lives, and their personal habits, when this is just about shaving their face! :p

[colour=blue]My daughter refers to the epilady as the 'Pain Inflictor'. She takes two panadol before 'inflicting'.

Techno, which Newhart routine? A fav of mine, but I don't recall a multi-blade or skeptical shaving bit?

Avoid razors that are on sale. They usually have been on the shelf a long time and their edge is usually shot before you use them, due to humidity. Much like the sale two liter bottles of soda. The fizz (carbonation) can permeate threw the plastic and the product is usually flat or well on its way to it.

Razors, QC I hate the freebee's they give to you in hotels. To say they are giving you something for free is a bit of a stretch. But sometimes you don't have a choice, especially when you are an absent minded traveler like myself. 8) Two blades is fine for me. Even a good sharp Bic disposable can give me a good shave, it is a matter of how sharp the blades are. And as pointed out above, new doesn't always mean sharp. 5 blades, when did they stop handing out common sense in this country. But I suppose if it is in a pretty box with some athlete on it, some will have to have it......

As unusual as it sounds, I actually get a better shave with the foam than the gel. I guess the same problem with my face that affects my brain.

I started with gel and a disposable, and then I got one of those Braun Synchrosystem electric razors that charge and clean themselves for a Christmas gift a few years back.

I absolutely love it. I replaced the screen once, but otherwise the only expense is cleaning fluid. So $6 every 6 weeks or so. That isnt that bad, and since I didnt buy the unit initially I am ahead $ wise compared to the regular razors. I use William's Pre Shave too, wich causes the stuble to sticke up better and leads to a closer shave. Not to mention the fact that razors absolutely tear my face apart.

My next purchase will be a beard/mustache trimmer to get a cleaner look.....since right now I am rocking the goatee, stache and sideburns past my earlobes.
