merc 60hp 1988 no spark

ran 1/2 hr shut off to fish, would turn over fine but no spark in any of 3 cyl.
HELP!!!! all wires appear to be intact

I have the same motor and on my controls directly below the key is a dead man switch, see if it's in place.

This appears to be a plastic piece which says run on it. It appears to be in place and does not remove?

Sorry rjpmerc, it sounds like you need to start doing some electrical diagnosis and Im not qualified enough to assist, hopefully someone else can jump in here??
