So fill us in on the "other side." Tell us why this is OK. Hear you are defending it anyway, so this should be easy for you.

Explain to me why one cent of my money should be spent on someone in this country illegaly. Explain to me why your party supports it.

Whats to get?

A bill was voted on. The gavel was dropped. Dem's attempt to buy illegal votes was temporarily thwarted due to their inability to count the votes they had in favor of the measure. They wanted a do over. Do overs don't exist. They did it anyway. (please feel free to show me any do over rules for congress) This is illegal. They threw out a legally binding vote. They didn't like the outcome so they threw it out. Then to cover their tracks, they removed the entire vote from the congressional record. Why exactly did they do that? As this is was to be the most ethical congress ever according to lil' nancy, why are they rewritting/omitting history?

What side am I missing?

Why should I? Food Stamps and Welfare don't address Farm specifics. Oh wait! They Do! Neocons want to take it away from Ag's Slaves. You know, the folks that help feed you?

Like it or not, children born on US soil to illegals Are US Citizens. Are you against feeding your fellow Americans that have no way of feeding themselves?

Typical liberal ploy. Play the Chirdren Card.

This act of leaving the floor by the republicans was a glimmer of hope for me. We need to tighten up the borders so this problem will be a thing of the past.

I'm not trying to defend illegals. I'm condemning this sleezy practice of sneaking items into a bill that have nothing to do with the bill. Wanna reform immigration? Fine, do it in an Immigration Reform bill. Wanna keep illegals from recieving Welfare? Fine, do it in a Welfare Reform bill. Wanna keep illegals from recieving Medicare? Fine, do it in a Medicare Reform bill. But stop playing blind-side politics with that which has nothing to do with the bill. Far as I'm concerned, any such attempt should automatically disqualify the perpetrator's vote.

A bit testy, are we BB? I understand the thread just fine. Seems your bit upset is all I'm saying. Your beloved traitorous party has really shown it's colors this time. Anything for a vote, is that the new motto for your kind? But wait, that has been the motto, hasn't it. The heck with what is right for the people, just give me that illegal alien vote.

Yeah, I read you just fine.

Why won't they(Elected Officials) help the people in this Country first and then worry about people from other Countries?:mad::mad:

I fully agree with with you, let's get the Bell out of foreign countries and stop wasting our money on bringing them the gift of democracy.
Let's spent our money on America. That is, after we pay the debt we raked up in the past few years.

Re: Mikes Political Troll...sorry :)

Why is it some want nothing more than to obviscate the topic. This has nothing, NOTHING, to do with Iraq, immigration, the election etc. It has to do with unchecked abuse of limited powers. And those who seem so concerned with abuse of powers, are the ones who seem oblivious to the implications of this usurping of the PEOPLES authority. Their intentional smokescreen of illegal act shows their tacid approval of what was clearly a draconian and illegal manuver, and is an offront to all Americans.

Pathetic.

Offended that they are resorting to Neocon tactics, Pointer? Or embarrased that the Republicn Rubber Stamp Congress of recent past didn't think of it first? ;)

Other than this Freshman Congressman's tantrum and a few seconds of brief mention on today's news, I have seen or heard nothing of it. You're taking one guys word (with a burr up his butt) as Gospel and frankly I'm far from an expert on Congressional procedures. How 'bout you?

Gotta wonder how bent out of shape you're going to get with a Democratic Rubber Stamp Congress of near future? ;)

Well gee Willy, I am not an expert car driver, but I drive daily, I am not a licenced ships captain, but I run my boat. Does that make me incapable of possessing, common sense, skills, understanding, a working brain? As I said earlier, this isn't a neocon tactic, or a democrat tactic, this one is all new! I guess we could call it a socialist/communist tactic.

Your decision making appears to be based soley on hatred of one party/person. I wish it was that easy.

Enjoy your Kool-aid.

Vote Democrat, it's easier than thinking.

Re: Mikes Political Troll...sorry :)

Wow, the liberal media didn't cover illegal acts committed by the socialists? I'm amazed. Seems to me many of us have been pointing this out for years. How is it then that Fox covered it, Drudge has a link, and that entire snipet of time was captured on tape, but really doesn't exist. At least in the congressional record.

The interesting thing is the media did cover the reaction by the minority the next day. Just no real context as to why, which of course is where the meat was.

Re: Mikes Political Troll...sorry :)

Seems to be some people in Congress with a long memory, anybody remember the heavy handed way the Republicans when they were in power? Here?s a clue, (Nuclear Option)

How about the skullduggery that went into passage of the Medicare Drug Bill? Congressional Republican leaders scrapped longstanding parliamentary procedures. They excluded all but two of the Democrats from closed-door negotiating sessions on the final form of the legislation.

That bill was in a pre-dawn session and on the first vote it was voted down by a margin of 216 for and 218 against. The republican leadership refused to allow that outcome to stand; they extended the roll call for three hours, all the while ragging the handful of Republican holdouts who opposed the legislation because they knew it was to costly.

It seems that there was not all of this outrage then, how come? Here is a link if anyone is interested in the whole story of the current rowel.
