Re: installing tilt and trim
Both your engine and the fellow that jumped on the threads engines use the older type I power trim, many are available on the internet the differance between the 2 engines are the mount kit which is made up of nuts bolts ans spacers to adapt a a standard kit to the mid sizes (yours) clamp bracket and the large (his) bracket. In either case it's not much of a job
I have a '69 650 and I bought a '70 650 with power trim with the intention of swapping the power trim to the '69 motor but the one I bought was a saltwater engine and I broke one of the brackets while taking it apart.It was a three day event and I was trying so hard to be careful but that small threaded rod would not come loose

)
In any case I bought a couple more brackets on ebay from a 150 with the same trim setup and the brackets are the same size which was my point in replying to this thread.The brackets I bought had the same problem and whoever removed them just cut the rod with a sawzall,now why didn't I think of that??

)I am hoping that I can save at least one of them to do the swap when I get to it.This is a great forum and there are some great minds contributing here.I just reregistered under a new name as I could not change my old one and it was my email address.Ron G
