I find it amusing when I see 3 or 4 guys on a boat and they all have their shirts off cruisin' for girls. Now if your "thing" is other guys with shirts off... God Bless. Good for you, I don't judge. But if you are trying to look more "hetero" and masculine by having your shirt off... well, then you are failing. In fact, you look less masculine.

Rule: Only one guy with shirt off at a time while operating a vessel.

Caveat: For every female on the boat, one additional male may remove his shirt.

Welcome to iboats......:)
In my opinion, only women should be topless on boats!.....;)
Curious if your observation & ratio is from a guy's point of view or a ladies point of view.....:)

It is my male obseravation but I have asked females and they all seem to agree. A boat full of shirtless guys is pretty "Village People", blasting "Y-M-C-A" would complete the picture.

Hmmmm, I really don't think I would really take notice or care for that matter......
Now if it were a bunch of old, fat guys in Speedo's, I would notice 'cuz it would make me ill.....

I'm with you, too Haut. I think if I listed the top 10,000 things that go through my head when I see a group of shirtless guys, "if I was a girl would I be more attracted or less attracted to those guys" wouldn't even make #10,000...

If i came up on a boat load of shirtless guys all hoot-in and hollering id ask them for a beer. What other reason would they be shirtless and acting like fools.

being married for 16 years, when I take my shirt off on the boat, it is to catch a few rays and feel the warm wind on me rather than impressing girls. And given that I've got one of those serious farmer tans and a less serious beer-induced spare tire, me shirtless is not something that chicks would go wild over anyway...

Not often will you hear me say it, but I must say I agree with Haut's first reply!

Never really thought about the issue. I usually have at least 2 females on board, so I guess I'm good:D

Lake Texoma has a thriving population of a specific shirtless type - the shirtless redneck. Pale white torso and upper arms, crimson forearms and neck. Ususally sporting denim cut-offs 2 sizes too small. Clutching Busch tall boys, they'll pack in an old 70's Glastron and cruise the marinas and crowded boat ramps searching for their female counterparts.

And they women they're after could merit a whole 'nother thread.
