"Like a pig in muck, the left loves to wallow in Vietnam. But only in their "Vietnam." Not in the real Vietnam war........."

One of murky's post lead me to this very good reading.

Seems like this is what the left wants now.....shameful.

Where the heck were you in 1971 anyhow? Were you 5years old, or on the commies' payroll?
Read a non gubment-issue history book some day, PW. It'll wake you up.
EVERYTHING in that article has been well-documented. Do a search on any and all keywords you have questions about.. and see just WHO is revising WHAT!!!
But on second thought, you are a liberal --- your haid might just explode.

Goggle: "The Killing Fields"

Results 1 - 10 of about 2,940,000

There should be enough there to come to better statement.

Kids can't really accept what happened and are sort of inclined not to believe it, that we could treat each other that way,"

Re: The Left Shudders

The left is very furious over President Bush reminding them of their glory days in 1975 after forcing the defeat of the US in Vietnam. Bill Kristols' points are spot on IMHO. I know that must shock many here. That said, one of the sharpest knives in the Liberal MSM is: Christopher Hitchens. He has a furious response to Mr. Bush. Great fer thinkers, even if ya don't agree!!

"To invoke Vietnam was a blunder too far for Bush" Guardian Unlimited by Christopher Hitchens.

Kinda reminds me of the fury over Anne Coulter tellin' the truth about ol' Joe McCarthy. Popped the Lib MSM monopoly on the myth of Ol' Joe!!! Libs are on the war path over this, n' this could be some good sport: next week!!!

Where is the Vet with the ol' camcorder  showin' n' talkin' 'bout the Genghis Kahn stuff when we need him????? Gonna be some fun, (maybe). JR

Re: The Left Shudders

The Cambodian "killing fields" started years before we left Viet Nam.

I lost many friends in Viet Nam, and countless people I knew returned unrecognizably changed.

I'm assuming you would have preferred staying 10 more years, and another 50 k or so Americans killed, before finally leaving?

There is little similar between Viet Nam and Iraq, except they were both senseless, endless wars that resulted in quagmires with no end in sight.

The eternal optimist aren't you PW? Don't you think that if were to pull out of Iraq before the job was finished that the same thing would happen in Iraq as it did when we left Vietnam?

No, sir, I am a realist, and not a dreamer.

When we leave Iraq, the political situation will resolve itself like it always has in the annals of human history.

We may be able to postpone it, at a rate of 100+ dead American soldiers, and who knows how many wounded, not to mention the multi billions of dollars expended every month, but we can't stop it.

I understand what his point was.

There are lots of dissimilarities between the two, but bottom line Viet Nam is now an important trading partner with us. I'm not sure how extending the war, and losing thousands more Americans, would have improved that result.

Teddy Oldsmobile, with the propaganda help provided by: Jane Fonda, n' Good ol' John F Kerry et al, n' they all worked together to help the Communists win by forcin' us to CUT OFF ALL FUNDS N' ledgistic help n' spares to our former allies against the request of President Ford. Were you nappin' the whole time? If we would have provided support the outcome may have been much less bloody. Have another toke! Sheesh JR
