Hello,
I was curious how the female charter captains are treated by their male clients and other charter captains. I have more than enough documented sea hours to qualify for the OUPV , and would like to explore the idea of running a charter boat. I know there are a lot of reasons why this may not be the best career move, but working on the water would make it worth dealing with (to me,anyway.). Would this be the same as hanging around in the men's room, or would I get treated with (some) respect? I'm asking because I have met only one female charter captain that worked in my area (TX-LA) and she owned the company and didn't run the boats. What do ya'll think?
