Great pix. You lucky pup, your outboards are so well house broken you can keep them in the house without damaging the wood floors. Mine have seen so much wear I have to keep a drip pan under them for a while after service.

Yep, that's me...About 8yrs. ago and a few more hairs. My wife and I were at my cousin's wedding and took that pic. We introduced her friend to him on a blind double date and the rest is history. They now have 2 children and are very happy. Makes me happy, too.:) BTW, ol' Larsen there on the couch likes to drive the blue 7.5hp--always wants me to take that when we go fishing...Thanks for all your help fixing them up.

After I showed your living room pics to my wife, something like "not in a million years" came out! :)

Ha, my wife said the same thing! I'm lucky I can keep them in the garage.

Just to update, got the 7hp Ted Williams running. Had to clean it all up, soak the carb, and replace the head gasket and she fires right up, first pull. One big cylinder, so it shakes pretty good! Now I might be able to sell it for a few bucks.

Look at me, I'm a pro now.

Thanks again for the help!

Hey Pro! Sell that TW pronto... Oh wait... wait till spring, it'll be worth more! :) BTW, where'd you find a head gasket for it?

I've been offering free scholarship's to JB's school of wife-training but haven't yet received any applications---I've been holding my breath.;)

You'd better be careful having so much fun fixing those old motors, first thing you know you'll be cuddling up to a bunch of old outboards at night!

Getting that old Ted Will. running is IMPRESSIVE!

I didn't even bother looking for a head gasket. I bought the material from the auto parts store and cut my own with an exacto knife using the old one as a pattern (it came off in one piece minus the part that was blown out). Used the wife's hole punch for the bolt holes, perfect size!

Huh? You used normal gasket material? I though they had to be specially hard or something due to the pressure? huh.
