Hey FnG, is your's not one of the ones that have the pullout beds at each end?
I have seen those but they do not fit me well.
I am a big man and they looked to confining to me.

So far i really like it.Fiberglass sides and pretty light for its size.Queen bed in back and the sofa and dining table converts to beds.It has the one slide out in the front. The ducted 25000 btu heat is great, takes about 2 minutes to warm it up.I have slept in it once on the way from NY home and twice in the back yard.
Spinner,I looked at a hybrid but thought the bed was kind of short for me too.

Heres some pics,

Yep thats exactly what it is! First question i asked the dealer was will it hold us?As you see we are big people too!I sleep well in it.Not as nice as our california king at home but hey its supposed to be camping right? It has everything we need in then some really. It is a 26 ft little over 30 ft opened up.The main reason we liked it was our daughter and friend have their own space as oppossed to the sofa bed or dinette beds in the trailers.Looked at some bunk style but they were getting to pricey and heavy. My parents bought a 1997 37ft wilderness this past spring for 6000.00 but i wouldnt be able to tow or want to tow one that big! They had someone tow it to the property.Thats where it will stay until they sell it.

Thanks Fish n Geer,Thats a nice rig you have there too.I looked out an Outback that was very similar.I really wanted a 37 footer they had for one heck of a good price but it was way too big to tow from NY home.My 28 ft was just right as far as towing.I could run 65 on the highway no problem. No sway at all.The 28 ft has a dry weight of 5100 lbs.My truck is rated at 6500 tow capacity so i'll be close when loaded with gear and everything. The camper will go to the lake about 50 miles away most of the time and the beach is about 150 miles.I may tow it there about 2 times a year.

It does have the spare tire cover and propane tank cover. They just leave them off till they are sold.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

That may be something mine will get added to it.We get sheets of it at work.If i get the thin stuff it would be light too....Put it on using some 3M HighBond..
Dang Spinner, more money, more money! Trailers are as bad as boats! Too many add on toys...lol

Question: My microwave comes on a couple seconds then kind of dims down.Could that be a low amp problem?I have not been plugged in to a 30 amp campground outlet. The camper is plugged into a super heavy extension cord running from the house, about 75 feet.
The AC works fine it seems.
Wondering if i have a defective microwave.
I would hate to tow it to a dealer then look like an idiot..

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Don't know Gary. I have a stand alone circuit for mine with the 30A plug and all on a 50A circuit.
I know mine don't have any problem at all.
But I use my power cord from the camper to plug in also if that makes any difference.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Sure enough! Went out there and removed the plug from hot water heater.Quite a bit of water came out!My next question is do i have to go through that whole process again now?Or did it simply come from the tank itself? No pink came out just clear water. And this plug element does not look so good.Should this be replaced? Thanks so much Gary and Spinner!

No, as long as you get the water out of the tank, you should not have to do it again.
Yes it looks like it needs replaced to keep the water from getting nasty tasting.

Grease them screws on the jacks also.
Keeps the moisture from rain and snow from making them squeak.
Also, if your a lazy man like me, get you a electric impact with the socket to fit them jacks and makes life better using it when you want to run them down or up. :)

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Thanks Spnner! I like the idea of the electric drill socket thing! That would rock! I checked into a electric deal for the front instead of cranking so much.At the trailer shop by my house they wanted 226.00.I think i be cranking for awhile!I did spray everything down real good with wd40.All the hinges, hitch parts, anything that opens etc.Want to pick up some wheel covers for her then she will be covered up good for our michigan winter.
This spring will check with my dealer on replacing that part. Thanks again you guys saved me a big problem!

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Replace it with a aluminum/zinc hex-head anode rod.
Much better than the magnesium or plain aluminum ones.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Glad you checked that FnG! Could of saved the tank.

Spinner, The power i'm hooked to is on a 30 amp breaker on the back of the house. That power is run to the shed about 75 feet then the huge extension cord 50ft then the cord made into the camper.I'm looking at 150 foot easy. Now that i think about it thats a heck of long run...
The power to the shed was already here so who knows what size wire it is.
I hope its just a low amp problem. If not its under warranty.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

probably all it is Gary.Do you have a generator for your rig?We bought a 3500 portable for ours just incase we go someplace there is no juice.I was gonna suggest if you do fire it up and check your micro on it.

Spinner thanks for the heads up on the anode!

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Hey Gary, just a thought.
Unplug the micro and plug it into the ext. cord coming to the trailer and see what happens.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

Thought about that Spinner,No generator and the power cord for the microwave is behind it somewhere.I would have to pull it out from the wall to find where it plugs in.I doubt its hard wired, there must be a plug in for it.
I'll check it out later today.I'll bypass the one big extension cord first.
If its a bad microwave i need to find out before it sits all winter.
The dealer was supposed to test everything but may have over looked it.
