Look in the overhead cabinet next to the micro.
That is where most of the plugin's are for them.

No plug in inside the cabinets.I did bypass the one big extension cord. That cut 75 ft of cord out of the deal. The microwave still dims a little after about 3 seconds but will boil water.Removing the one cord did help.
The dealer called me today to ask if i was happy with my purchase.I mentioned the problem to them and they think it will be fine on the usual 30 to 50 amp connection at camp grounds. They said if not just stop by any dealer and they will order a new one.

I can't imagine that they would hide the plug in behind something.
There are usally 2 plug ins on it so you can plug something else in if need be.
I would venture to say he is right.
You are just cutting down on the voltage with that much run.

At least its new and has warranty:D. I was going to buy used but kind of glad i didn't.
Been looking on Camping worlds site...GEEZE! so many add on toys!
My first thing will be adding MaxAir vents. The dealer wanted 150 bucks installed so i didn't buy from them.I will need to do some reading on the installation of them with this one piece rubber roof.Too bad you can't just glue them down with 5200...lol

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

My sister has a 5th wheel camper. It's a Wildcat. I don't remember who makes them. Be a little careful buying the biggest, but lightest, unit you can buy!!! She has had problems with hers. The first year she had it the frame broke , one of the axles fell off and was dragging. She had that welded up by a camper dealer. This year she brought it to my brothers farm and while looking it over I found one of the bolts holding the shackles for the springs on had pulled through the shackle. It was built so darned light that there was no strength there . Simple wear had elongated the hole to where it pulled through. It's only a 4 year old rig!!!! It does not have that many miles on it. In attempt to build it light, but, still fancy they skimped on important things like the frame and axles. Just to put more weight into fancy counter tops ,etc. Check your undercarriage often. It's probley build light and will need lots of repair.

Also, her 4 year old 5th wheel is rusting/rotting out at the back corners. Water somehow gets into it from above and the whole bottom end is sealed up so tight that there is no place for the water to drain.

I was not at all impressed with the build quality of this Wildcat 5th wheel.

I have a 1980 Shasta 14 foot travel trailer that works for me just fine. It has a bathroom/ shower/ stove/ furnace/ microwave/ and gas electric fridge. It has a front dinette that folds down to a full size bed. There is a top bunk, but, you better not be claustrophobic to sleep up there. lol I know this is not the best thing for everyone but, it's easy to tow, park, and works for me.I can be ready to go in 15 minutes. I use it for weekend trips.

Yea, they call them light for a reason that's for sure.

Re: Winterizing a travel trailer

I did a lot of research on the Coachmen. The frame looks very solid and the frame of the body is square aluminum tubing on all sides, front, rear, floor and roof. They are the only company building the light models this way.The under side is enclosed with all heated holding tanks.
I know its not top of the line but its not a Cheapo either.I guess i will see how it holds up.All of the reviews i have read online have been good.
I look at it as a good entry level unit.I'll keep it a few years and trade up to a fifth wheel if i get a diesel truck. With gas prices going out of site i don't want a much bigger unit for now.For the price i feel i got a great deal on it,anywhere from 5k to 7k under what other dealers were asking.;)

11500.00 sounds like you got a good deal.I know the Reese dual cam hitch was 500 for mine.I got them to do a package deal including the hitch,7 year extended warranty for a little over 15k.Retail on the camper was 20 to 23k depending on the dealers i checked at.
I do have to pay tax of 3% When i get the title changed over to NC and get tags.
Just for the heck of it i looked it up on NADA with the options it has.Used it says 24k to 29k....I think NADA is off a little..

Gary, the vent covers attach to the lip that the existing cover closes on. No screwing into your roof.

Cool! Thanks for the info JRJ, Drilling thru the roof had me kind of scared.I'll go ahead and pick a couple up.Found some on Ebay 19 bucks each for the white ones.I may check a local dealer to avoid shipping charges but i think dealers sell them for at least 30 bucks each.
