Re: Playoff picks

The cold effects everyone on the field......some handle it better than others. In that sort of situation I will take expirience everytime. Favre has played at least 40+ games in below freezing temps. Eli............has played ONE. It was the worst game of his career and it was 26F.......that isnt even cold.

1) The Packers D is better. If you think that Giants running game is going to run all over the place, ask Adrian Peterson or Shaun Alexander how well that worked for them. They rarely give up 100yard rushers. The Giants receivers are banged up.....and the Pack has one of the best corner tandems in the league..........yup the same secondary that Seatles high powered offense was supposed compete last week.

2) The Packers O is better. They have a running game.....which they didnt have or need when the Gmen got spanked in week 2. Last week the Giants played a Cowboys team that was depleted at wide receiver. The Pack can and will go 5 wide against a banged up secondary........good luck with that.

The Giants are riding high right now.......but my gut tells me that ride will end.

Keep your eyes on #20 for the Pack, he hits like a freight train on every play.
Green Bay's defense is VERY fast and VERY aggressive.
Lambeau Field is probably rocking with energy as you read this.
Go Pack!:D

Re: Playoff picks

The Giants should become the Midgets today.

They didn't beat the Cowboys, the Cowboys beat themselves. They had more plays, more yards, more time of possession but, unfortunately, more penalty yards and and at the worst possible times.

I won't say the Giants didn't deserve to win, they did, but I don't expect the Pack to make all the mistakes that the Cowboys did.

And the Chargers? DisCharged this very day. The Pats are just tooooooo good.

So. I say that the Superbowl will be the Patriots over the Packers, but not by a big score.

It's warmer at Foxboro than originally thought... about 23 with a slight wind..... I doubt that will slow Brady but, it could keep more of the game on the ground. Cold enough to be painful as soon as the sun drops away!

JB we have the same prediction ;)

I SAID I was going with my heart instead of my head on this one. But, then again, everybody KNEW the Cowflops would humiliate the Giants last week.

Re: Playoff picks

I am shocked and surprised. Didn't think the Giants could beat the Packers ... to much destiny it seemed. Congratulations to the Giants.

Now, before everyone starts commenting on woulda, coulda, shoulda, did Green Bay loose it with their fumbles, penalties, and interceptions, or did the Giants (and the officials) create the mistakes? HMMM???

Well, GO GIANTS!

Wow!! What a game! Too bad both teams couldn't win.

The Giants earned that one with outstanding play.

Re: Playoff picks

It was a great game......though not exactly the way I would like to see a season end. Still a good year for a team that was supposed to be below .500 and have nothing to play for by December.

The Pack got outplayed at the line of scrimmage. I personally thought the playcalling was horrid. Should have given Harris safety help, and should have at least made an attempt to run the ball. We got to the Championship game with short passes and running the ball........they did none of that tonight.

Re: Playoff picks

Never thought I would say this......but I want the Patriots to absolutely demolish the Giants.

I cannot stand guys like Eli Manning, who without playing a down in the league want to dictate where they play. I disliked Elway for that same reason.

Re: Playoff picks

Well, the Giants just proved that they can play in any conditions !!!!!
And Win !!!!!! although in overtime.
No matter what happens in the final the giants have got there from a predicted nowhere this season.
Just so you know....this is coming from an English guy living in Canada for the last 18 years so I have no real preference other than what I see !!!!!

NY didn't win.... Green bay beat themselves. 4 penalties in one drive??? C'mon! Then, in O.T., whatever the reason was, throw the ball to the Giants, to see if just by some stroke of luck, Tyres can actually MAKE a field goal.

As for who to choose in the Bowl? Sorry, I disagree with you there. After watching Eli "talk" to Romo last week.... Romo looking all confident, and looking like he's better than Eli, after listening to Eli's commments this past week, He's a regular Joe. I'll be pulling for the Giants rather than the cocky (don't know if I can say that one or not, but I just did.) Patriots.

Lost to pack week 2 Left them BLUE in the championship

Checked my Giants ticket account .... Won the ticket lottery...two tickets row 1 on the 10 yd line for Phoenix.

PRICELESS

I'm on a freakin' cloud!!!!!!!!!!

Can you paint a sweeter picture ????????

It's not what the other teams or refs did or did not do

It's what MY GIANTS have done as a TEAM to get to the dance

Re: Playoff picks

I have alot of respect for the Pack and their fans. Probably the closest organization to emulate MY GIANTS and GIANT FANS.
We probably felt the same way thru the game till the last tick.....

Looking forward to another matchup next year!!!!
MY GIANTS will do ya proud in Phoenix
