Buddy of mine found water in his cored hull. Dealer says is not an issue. His boat is a new 06 with 29 hours on it. The hull does not have foam but a new plastic honeycomb material. any comments?

We think water came in from cracked fitting on the shower sump. The boat is new. Manufacture is not dening the water is there but says it new design is not a problem. What about delamination when the water freezes in the winter like now.

Frozen water in a boat is not good, don't matter what it is made out of.
I am not familiar with that style boat so I will leave it at that.

It is definately an issue!

Techinically they are right, it's not a design issue. Something broke. But it still has to be repaired. Water in the coring of a boat, whatever that material is, is never a good thing. It has to be dried out and then resealed so that water doesn't get in again.
