Re: need power head omc sea drive
if its flat on the on the back....area between the cylinders...probably 85,90,115,..if its got a big bubble there they call that a bubble back and is a 140. What are your compression numbers?? what did the place tell you they would do on the rebuild?? just rebuild the one cylinder or all?? There is another...not sea drive...but 140 on ebay right now...has 110psi on all four..its in florida too. Its an evinrude, not very pretty...but says its in good shape...his reserve is 499 and its a 153 now...its over tommorrow. its a relist...bet you could get it. post on here again for dhadley, tashadaddy, ezeke...I know there are MANY more that know but I've delt with these alot and I know they are very knowledgable on these engines and can tell you if the powerhead would bolt up. thats the route I would go..and get a manual. kencook.com you can get a OMC/Johnson/Evinvrude manual...not the one that covers a bunch of years...although I would wait and see about the powerhead first. You also need to rebuild the waterpump and I would do the thermostats before I did anything else with it...just to be sure. I would rather see you get a good used motor and part your seadrive together and save a little money than put that much money in that motor. you are in the right place for advice...MANY rebuilders here...and LOTS of years experience.
