working on my transom. all the wood is out. I ground out stress cracks and holes to prep for fixing. I have one spot of delamination. Do I grind until the delamination is gone, or have I gone far enough(last pic). I have some clean up to do on the bottom inside of the hull, but other than that, I think I'm ready to make a template and cut the wood for the transom.
Thus brings me to the questions. Do I need to do more prep work? Epoxy or polyester resin? what is the best mat to use? I was thinking of puting a layer of mat on the outside of the transome as well, Is that needed? What is the best wood to use for the transom and stringers? Sorry for all the questions, my head is spinning right now. Thanks in advance,
chad
