Good day I have a problem with my engine The engine starts when cold with no throtle and runs at low revs OK. when I power the engine up the revs increase then start to drop, when I power down the engine stalls I have cleaned the carbs fitted new floats and float valves and all gaskets. The fuel pump has been replaced and the primer ball stays hard. The ignition coils have also been replaced as the old ones were cracked, and a comlplete replacement impeller unit fitted Could someone please point me in the right direction

I have now tested the engine in the sea and it runs like a dream, I can only explain the rough running as lack of back pressure when testing the engine in my tank. ran for about 1 1/2 hours and it ran well at all speeds and towed a wave board with no problems thanks for your input

Ah! This all happened in the test tank. Sometimes you need to rig up a fan to blow all the fumes away from the engine. They can sometimes choke the thing out and cause all sorts of confusion.
