Hey, I just made Ensign...and not a single pad.
Does this mean I get a raise?
Do I get to push around the non-coms now? - somebody's gotta clean the coffee grinds out of the bilge and it ain't gonna be me anymore!

I think from the khaki point of view though its the goats that make the blue-shirts clean up the bildges.

I think you're still a bilge rat until you get scrambled eggs on yer cap.
Got an E7 across the street from me. He goes in every morning in his utilities and he's still knee deep in the bilge.

What's wrong with cleaning the bilge? I always find something of value there... a missing, rusted out lure, usually.

Some of you people need a spell checker.

It is “paddling”, not “padding”.

I like to have lots of padding in my seat if I'm going to be paddling for very long.
