I'd bet those were casualties of hurricane, probably Katrina.

It's the same boat from 3 different angles.
If this were a natural disaster, I have to believe that there would be more surrounding debris etc. This is just the product of a room temperature IQ coupled with excess horsepower.

:Dmaybe he is in the middle of a divorce and was intent on giving his wife half.:D

although it doesnt look evenly devided:D

I had a friend who went through a divorce. Said he'd burn his corvette before giving it to her. He cut it in half and gave her the first choice.

Re: Thats got to hurt

Knew a guy who was going thru a divorce, and his wife hated boats.

She was always complaining that he was on the boat more than on top of her.

Anyway she got the boat in the divorce, 1 year old 40+ footer and made sure he knew she sold it for like 1/3 it was worth.

He tried all kinds of tricks to buy it back, like send friends when it was in the paper.

She the spiteful, little by-atch that she is, probably got money under the table also.

My wife never liked her.

But all the wives in our circle were on her side. Thats why he couldn't buy it back, the wives rat-ed the husbands out that, they were going to buy it for my friend.

Freekin woman is broke now and wants to get back with him.

Kids are grown and out of the house, last one just left.

And now she has to sell the house and split the money with him.

Shes trying all kinds of tricks, even the judge who is a woman said sell the house split the money, had enough with her.

He never knew nothin, thought everything was goin great, and one day comes home from work and his bags are packed, and she says, she had enough.

He was going to shoot himself in the head.

Now he got wimmins fighting over him, and having a great time.

And she wants to get back with him.

My wife tells me this stuff. Gets it straight from the cheap kovah on the phone.

I told my wife anytime she wants ill take my guns, my truck, my golf clubs, and boat, she can have the other 4 cars, house, the kids, and the dog.

I'll take the shack, second home in the mountains.

She hates it there anyway.

She can stay here with the rich snobby a-holes where we live.

looks like thers going to be a third...

I hope it's not anywhere near where I boat. If he can't see a daymarker that size, I'd be worried about my little 16 footer full of kids.

Re: Thats got to hurt

this picture has shown up countless times in forums i visit, even the Mythbusters from Dicovery Channel did a test on this picture, they actually proved it wa possible, but not very likely(you would have to hit in the the perfect spot or else the boat would just deflect itself)

In the end most agree'ed that this was fake. Everything from the ironic name, the mooring line, and to the fact that its still floating.

I agree with the point here, especially with the tree going through the hull in this thread. That tree should have deflected the boat at the point that it hit and there for puting a spin on the boat where it struck.

I for one think it is real. Odd things happen everyday. Though, mainly do to the detail. Look at the water spilling off the handle on the rear of the seat. Looks just like it should if the boat was bobbing up and down in the water, as it should.

I don't think someone would fake a pic that well just to scam the internet. I mean filling it with a bit of water in the image is manditory. However the details of it are pretty good.

The mooring line was probably tied there incase the boat came off the pole. Just my guess.

Oh I believe the picture is real, Mythbusters LOL
Don't the seats look all shifted forward like from the sudden stop?
I don't see a light on the pole marker.

Hate to bust eveyone's bubble on this but that is an obvious "photoshop" job.

My oldest son is a computer graphics professional that works in the advertizing industry. I emailed him the photo and he said it took him all of 30 seconds to determine it's a fake.

He said the rope to the post is digitally added and that the part of the rope encircling the post is real but obviously very old and a different color (aged stained)

The entire ripped section of the hull has also been "cut pasted and blended" into the photo of the sunken boat.

The rest of the boat is a real picture. Just a sunken boat in shallow water.

He said it really wasn't even a very good job..... Looked real enough to me but he sent me the picture back enlarged and you can see the marked difference in the pixels around the damage and the line to the post.

I see I see, I was looing for details of how the boat should look in such situation. They are there because it was an actual sunken boat.

Good Stuff

Boats and cars and marriages are incompatible. We had a customer who came to pick up his Porsche, his wife came in and gave him a ration of .... about how much money he spent on that car. He was embarrased. Two months later he was back in for some tires. His first statment was "I fixed my worst car problem by myself". We said what problem was that. He responded"I divorced that *****!"

Boat + crazy people= unbelievable crashes. Maybe this was Photoshopped, but I absolutely believe a crash like that could happen. You would think the boat would just deflect off, but you don't know if maybe he was in the middle of a turn at high speed. Same with the boat in the trees.

Besides, why would someone make a fake photo of this?
