Thats what it looks like here also, my 16 year old just came in from walking the hot-dog dog.

Says be careful dad cause its solid ice, don't hurt your right foot cause thats the the one you use for the gas peddle, and your gonna need it for the trip to Fl.

Smart alick.

Re: For all you Southern Folk

We just got ice, rain, and some white crap falling out of the sky now, but not much. Those pics are making my muscles ache just looking at them. Our turn in this area will be coming soon. It always does every winter........SS

68 and cloudy today in SE Ga. maybe some rain tomorrow. You can keep that white stuff. I firmly believe that stuff is to play in not live in. If I was not working today  I would be in the boat. :D

Been there, done that. Still have the insulated coveralls and the balaclava.

I love those northern summers, especially Wisconsin and Minnesota, but they are just too short, and the price (winter) is too long, too cold, too dark.

no kidding. sitting in your portable on the ice with your heater going just isnt the same as sitting in your boat with your feet dangling in the water.

One of my new found joys in life is not wearing shoes. Not really an option September through may though....

BTW, did you know its just as hard to drive a stick wearing flip flops as it is wearing Sorels?

I just finished removing close to 2 feet of snow from my boat cover. Gotta keep it off before the weight of it causes a collapse.

I've been wanting some snow to play around in with my 4 wheeler, but so far the weather down here has been getting warmer (mid 70s), and we've been getting alot of rain. Maybe I'll go mud riding :D.

Moved from Vernon Valley NJ 29 years ago, and I don't think I could take the cold, and the snow, and ice any more...Love Cape Coral FL.....It's sure different down here, alot of people from the North don't, or can't hack the change. but if your into ANY type of water sports....IT'S GREAT! :D

Winters are Great! love beeing able to boat and fish all year round.....now all I need is to find a job, so I can afford to. Oh well, I'll just sit by the pool, and shine the boat till I find something.

Sunny and 70 here today.:p

If I want to see that, I can drive 2-1/2 hours, up to Flagstaff, and still be in shorts the same day.:D

Gotta go wash/detail Mrs. DJ's "Stang". See ya later.

Hope to see some of that next week when I'm back up north (Cleveland Oh area) for Christmas. Then back down to the sunny and 60's of SC.

Yup, its in the forecast. No temps above freezing for the next week or so. Lake effect normally slams east of Cleveland most of the time but that is not saying it doesn't hit Cleveland. Its those clippers that come down from Michigan and Wisconsin that dump on our area.

What route you taking LT or you flying?

Flying up on Tuesday evening, and driving back the Sunday after Christmas. I'll actually be staying east of Cleveland in the Chardon, Chagrin Falls area.

Re: For all you Southern Folk

What is that stuff?

sorry i just can't help myself. it is called "global climate change" seems to happen every 3 months around here. it gets real cold and that white stuff comes down, then it gets a little warmer with a clear liquid falling from the sky, then it gets real warm for a couple of days, then it starts to cool off for a while until that white stuff starts coming down again. :D seen=ms to happen every year, the same stuf at the same time.
