did you grease the splines, line up the water tubes, remove the spark plugs, so you can turn flywheel by hand, to line up splines.????? are you sure the drive shaft did not slip up, in the gear case.

they should line up side by side into the water pump grommets. you have several PM's.

TD's right...you have to have good light and a steady hand, sometimes an extra one helps, too. You have to guide the water tubes into each one's grommet just before the LU slips up into place. Have the large retainer bolt ready to hold the LU in place.

well i figured out how to get the drive shaft up in the motor and seat it but i cant tell and see if i got all the water tubes in. i can look through the exhuast and see one water tube in from the motor down but the one from the water pump up i cant tell. and its very hard to push the thing up so that must mean that the water tube i getting in the way. what do i do? to get the water tube from the pump connected to the motor?

if the motor is on any angle it makes it harder to line up. you really need a helper to hold the lower, and a flashlight, and sometimes a butter knife, to slip in the crack and push the tubes.

ok i found the stuff i need for the fuel line and such its about 50 dollars excluding the fuel line inside the motor. ill stop by auto zone sometime and check them out on 1/4" fuel line.

well im am just so darn stupid. i forgot all about the key. well i didnt use a key when checking for spark. therefore that was why there was 1% to 0% spark on the motor. im am sheesh forgot all about it oh my gosh!!!!:(

well 2moro im using key and checking for spark. while finishing up connecting the shift rod and tell the guy about the fuel lines. so i masured everything under the hood its about 16-18 inches for all the items. im gonna buy 60 inches of fuel line and put 20 inches for each line since there is 3 lines. well to tell u the truth i might buy more just incase. oh and i might replace the line that leads to that safety deivce on the side of the motor

ok got ti started today and it ran like a dream.

i found out that i didnt put the water pump in right and so there almost overheated. i kept checking the cylinder by pouring water on it if the water steam off which in fact it did. thereofr ei shut the motor down and put everything away. well i found out that the water tubes should be both ceoming from the motor but i didnt think about it but mine has one going up and one coming down. its like impossible to get em both in. 2moro or wednesday i will most likely work on it.

for some reaosn my primer bulb liek didnt work or something but after i added gas it was better and then it started
