New Boat for the Get Together...1986 16' Blue Fin 50 'Rude VRO

Just stumbled across this on the Tampa Craigslist.
Same owner last 22 years. Never used in saltwater. EVERYTHING original.

VRO on that motor is still hooked up...many were disconnected thinking they were causing problems.

Just needs a little repaint on the trailer...surprised it had rollers?? Is that good or bad for the aluminum??

Was $2600 a fair price??

Sorry guys.
I really wanted to go to this. But, just so happens that it falls right along the same time as the wife's birthday. We usually travel up to MD to visit the inlaws during that time. But, next time we try to pull one of these together I am willing to go.
(I am hoping I can swindle her into letting us go for just the day on Sunday.)

I am trying to make arrangements to do some scallop "hunting" (or fishing) in Crystal River this year. I think the season opens up on July 1. So, if anyone wants to look into that, let me know.

For FWR..sorry, we will miss you. Hopefully this will be the first of many!!
Also, yes the scallop season starts July 1 and runs till the first week of September. We went out of Bayport (hwy 50) and got our limit in two hours! Well we couldn't stop there. Ran back to the ramp, dumped our 4 gallons (2 of us) ran back out and got another limit. Lets keep in touch about that!

Lake Griffin Rocks!!

Well, we got the little Blue Fin for the get together and needed to splash it so got up this morning, drove for a little over an hour and baptized her right at the ramp!! We (Me, Barb and Lucy) spent a few hours running around, getting a feel for the lake and tried a little fishing. I was really out of my element. Tried a few bettle spins and drowned a few worms!

Miss KayLe was awesome!

Great Pics of the Lake!!! We didn't get to go out because we were out of town this past weekend. If you want bass you need to fish the docks and sheltered areas along the shore. I'm not a fisher guy but my BIL does the local bass tournies and he's my source of info. He did say that the bass started bedding a few weeks ago last time we talked and they have moved closer to the shore. He wouldn't give up his best spots though... Evidently the Bass Tourney guys hold that info near and dear to their heart since it could mean the difference between taking home the purse or walking away empty handed.

I am in jax, in TD's home down I have a 21 foot I/O with a 305 five in it... I a a little worried about the amount of water... 2 questions ( really so i can convience the wife)
1. is the lake near by deep enough to do water sports in?
2. is there enough water to draw about 3 feet or so to the lake?
3. TD has talked about his 'toon but not the deck boat that is why i was thinking it may be tough...

I was just there this past weekend and there is plenty of water in that lake. There is one spot crossing under a bridge that gets a little narrow, but once there the lake opens up. Way up. Bring that baby up on google earth and look at the size! Everywhere we ran we had/saw plenty of water.
I am even thinking about bringing my Key West just to have a bigger boat to go a little faster than the little tinny. May bring two boats!
I don't see your 21' having a problem there. Along the banks are many parks/communities with boats moored, and some were at least 22' - 24'

I would not have a problem with the deck boat. but i fresh water fish out of the toon. the deck boat is mine, my sisters she is in the process of buying me out of it. i never use it, except with them. it also may be there, they have not decided if they are coming. they are not plan ahead people. they may wake up Saturday morning and just show up.
