You know how hard it is to convince Diane that I need to buy ANOTHER boat for this event? I suffer from boat envy....

well guy's it looks like we have 13 sites reserved at the park, i would like to know if any only has made reservations at the Sleep Inn? Sylvia is going to, just hasn't gotten around to it. i have a count of 51 persons, members, family and guest.

we have gotten some nice door prizes.

the plan is to have a group Lunch around 1:00 pm Saturday.
the voluntary boat inspections will take place during this time, get your boat inspected, there will not be any tickets etc issued. this is just a free inspection, so if you have a problem, you can correct it before having a problem, with the water police.

this also allows the fishermen, to fish early and late saturday, and the ones that are making day trips to arrive.

kids bring your skate boards, scooters, there is a great hill to ride, and if you make a sharp turn at the end, you can go down the boat ramp.

the pets are welcome but must be leashed.

looking forward to a great fun weekend, and personally meeting everyone.

I'm thinking of making up a flag or banner with "iBoats CheapBoatKev" on it and flying it at my campsite (#30 btw) so y'all know my temporary address!

I hear ya, a friend keeps stopping by asking me for $1,500 and where I want him to park my new boat.


But I want to spend the money on the boat I already have

I get it together enough one way or another, I just messed up my leg so not walking isn't helping.

I don't know anyone else feels, but I really don't think this is the place to have a swapmeet...Unless maybe somebody has a 165 L6 for 20 bucks...Seriously though, people will have enough to haul for 3 daze (yes I mean daze..lol) of camping and boating and hanging out without the flea market.
And what if I buy "X" from Tashasdaddy and it turns out that it's wrong or doesnt work...Don't wanna jeapordize any friendships over something I can get on craigslist and be mad at a total stranger for!..Makes sense?

Hi cheapboatkev - my thoughts were simpler than that . Keeping to simple swap / exchange of small items that we seem to collect over time , in example plastic lure trays , spools of line you didn't care for, sinker moulds , extra lures ( gotta dump those dogs to make room):redface: All swap / barter.
I'm not posting to push the issue . Just clearify my thoughts and suggestions - peter

well i was out sick yesterday.

Here is my opinion, small items. to be done after the Saturday meal, when the free inspections are going on. I nor iboats will take no responsibility in the trades or sales. as long as this is clear i have no problems with it.

you all have free use of the pavilion the rest of the day. after it is cleaned up.
