I need some ideas from someone please. I own a 2003 Sailfish 2360 with the same year Yammy 225 4 stroke. Last June the engine blew a piston (at only 300 hrs and regular maintenance performed). It was still under extended warranty and the local dealer got Yamaha to replace the engine and mid-section. Since the new engine was installed the dealer has had my boat four times. It acts like it's starving for fuel. It will run at idle but try and give it any gas at all and it bogs down and usually shuts off. After the engine was installed the dealer was having the same problem so they replaced both fuel pumps and new fuel line from tank to motor and all new fuel filters. Got the boat back and still had the same issue leaving the landing. Took it back to the dealer and they said that the low pressure fuel pump was defective (supposed to be brand new) and they replaced it and everything was ok. That was in September and the weather has not been good here so I didn't have a chance to go out. Well I finally went to go offshore fishing Feb 8th and left the landing and had the exact same problem as before. Obviously the dealer didn't river test the damn thing, and they don't know what they are doing. I am not taking it there again. The problem is that now my extended warranty has run out but I don't feel I should have to pay for the repair since it has never run since the new engine was installed. Again averything in the motor is new from Yamaha. Any ideas? Please help. Thanks, Rob
