Yup, says Mercruiser 888 right on it...


Guys, he was dead serious and nothing I said made a dent at all. He is convinced I am a clueless jerk trying to low ball him.

No argument there but when he INSISTED it had 888 ponies I couldn't help but crack up. The more I tried to explain that wasn't even possible the more he got mad at me and said I didn't know what I was talking about. After all, Merc put it right there in plain sight...

i agree. aside from the 888hp. an mercursier 888 is a mercruiser 1 drive. best i know. nothing wrong with a 1 drive is there? pre alpha1...

I know what I would do. I would leave him to his ad and his ignorance. Sooner or later, he will hook up with someone who is equally ignorant and that person will buy the boat. When that very special buyer figures out that the boat has no where near 888hp, he will get ticked off at "Mr. Don't Tell Me" and the fun will begin.

Who knows, maybe you'll end up with a ringside seat. I'll bring the popcorn and the brewskies if you let me come!
