My 1994 dt115 makes a sneezing sound at idle up to around 2000-2500 rpm.
Could anyone give me and idea of what this could be? When I bought the motor there was some idling problems, so I replaced the throttle sensor and adjusted the flywheel position sensor. I did trouble shoot the whole motor looking for other potential problems, but everything looked within specs. Any help on this Sneezing would be appreciated.

Thanks ,
Josh

Could be trash in the carbs, bad fuel pump diaphragm or needs a link and synch.
Have you checked your low pressure fuel pump is in spec? Does pumping the primer ball affect the problem?

Was it ever running right?

Okay, I'm hooked and dying to see an answer for this one. I just had my second Susy-Q delivered and can't wait to get it installed.

Sneeze = a lean condition, not getting enough fuel. Find out what cylinder it is and adjust the carb accordingly.

Thanks for the reply's. Its not trash in the carbs, I cleaned them about a month ago when I bought the motor. How do I know if one cylinder is running lean? Compared to the other cylinders?

Manual calls for Idle jet screws to to be 0.625-1.125 turns out from lightly seated. Each screw will need careful and slow adjustment to get the optimum from each cylinder at idle. A sneeze is usually indicative of lean setting. Adjust the screws out to richen the mixture.
