I just had the carberators cleaned on my 130 hp Evinrude engine. Apparently, the carbs were really clogged so bad that the number two cylinder was not getting any fuel or very little over a couple years time. Now that the carbs are clean and the cylinder is receiving proper fuel, the cylinder has a knocking sound. Cylinder still has good compression but has a constant knock. The knock is not too loud but it is there. What could be the problem (piston, bearing, rods, what) and is it serious?
Any possible way to put additives in the fuel to make it go away?
