just drained the lower unit on my 115hp #j115eledr and oil was all milky.oh had fishing line behind prop.do i just replace that seal and replace oil?????now what. thanks in advance

Probably that is a yes but "just change the seal" is a pretty big "just".
You should probably pressure test it after you reseal it to be sure that is the only place leaking, but the fishing line is definitely a seal cutter. The prop shaft seal is just one of many that might be leaking.

im going to order some parts .Is that seal the most common culprit,or should i consider buying a complete kit......oh the breakdown is showing 2 seals behind the prop.

2 Seals is correct. watch which way they go in. One keeps water out. the other keeps oil in.

Probably not much more money to buy the whole seal kit - then you have them if you need them.

I ditto the fact you need to pay special attention to the direction of the seals and any other parts you pull out. You'll kick yourself later if you don't.
