ok i am new to the boating world but i was just given a boat that belonged to a family memeber that past away!!!

i have no knowledge of make or model, I am wanting to restore it can anyone help me by pointing me in the right direction

well thanks any guess on the age of it??? i need to try and get some new pieces for it i know it needs the plywood replaced on the inside has been out in the elements uncovered for 6 years or so

Congrats on the boat. Can you hear Paul singing Live and Let Die every time you look at that beauty of a boat.

I keep making reference to that move because the power boating stunts were real cutting edge for their time. Your boat looks much like the style Mr. Bond used for a get away...cept his had a white V-4 not an inline black 6

What better way to remember a loved one by getting *** deep in a restoration project of such a cool family heirloom.

On the back of the boat their might be a hull number stamped in to the gel coat, Normaly the last too numbers would tell you the year of the boat. Keep in mind some older boats did not have this stamped in.

Check the transom by putting both hands on the tilted gear case and apply force up and down. Is the transom sound? any cracks?

If the transom is good, you just may have a cream puff.

I bet the original metal flake gel coat will come alive with some light compound and a little wax

Then it is a 1978 boat. I am not sure what the FBF stands for, But Normaly the first few letters is the initials of the boat brand or company name that owened or made the hull.
