The bilge in my 2006 Stingray 195 LR with a 4.3 Merc is stuck on. It pumps the water as soon as its cycled through the motor...and even removing the 7.5 Amp fuse doesn't stop it. Only disconnecting the battery will stop it.

crossed wire, or srious short somewhere. best advice i can give is to start tracing wires back from pump, hopefully coming across the bad wire/short. not sure if you have a relay for the auto bilge, might check that if you do.

Also it kind of Sounds like some dirt of some kind is stuck under the flote and holding it up/on. Trace the brown wires down to the bilge pump area and try to clean the area under the flote some how. Good luck with it.:)

If you have 3 wires on the pump, black, brown , brown w/ a stripe. one is the lead for "manual" the other is the lead for "automatic" and is usually wired to the battery

Thanks all. Cleaned screen and did some other troubleshooting. Looks like the pump is bad. Lots of hard hits today in July 4th water on Lake Tillery in NC. Pulled 2 Amp fuse in wire btwn pump and battery and will operate manually til I can get a new pump. Appreciate your help.
