HOW TO FIND THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURE OF YOUR YOUR JOHNSON AND EVINRUDE OUTBOARD MOTOR.

EXAMPLE:.

Typical Model number (J150TLCCA)

(J)150TLCCA = JOHNSON

(E)150TLCCA = EVINRUDE

J(150)TLCCA = HP.

J150(T)LCCA = TRIM AND TILT

J150T(L)CCA = LONG SHAFT OR 20" LEG OR TRANSOM HEIGHT

J150T(X)CCA = EXTRA LONG OR 25" LEG OR TRANSOM HEIGHT

J150TL(CC)A = YEAR MODEL. THE CODE WORD (INTRODUCES) IS USED TO DENOTE WHICH YEAR THE LETTER REPRESENTS.

EXAMPLE

I = 1

N = 2

T = 3

R = 4

O = 5

D = 6

U = 7

C - 8

E = 9

S = 0

Installing control cables.

1. set controls in neutral and at idle.

2. manually make sure motor is in neutral and at idle.

3. on the motor end of the cable, is a trunion nut (adjustment nut) there is a retainer, on
the motor for the trunion nut remove the clip.

4. without moving anything on the motor, adjust the trunion nut (turning nut) so that
The nut sits in the retainer, and will connect to the motor.

5. connect the cable to the motor, reinstall the retainer clip.

Note: you adjust the cable to the motor, not the motor to the cable.
