4206 is a 1937 1.4HP. I don't think that is a lightwin.

Thanks for your reply...This seems to be a sixties era 4 hp lightwin, the full serial # is: 4206 S 0007992. Any info on this motor would be greatly appreciated
Thanks....Ken:)

Re: Need info on light twin

Hi again....Found out that Model 4206 is a 1972 4 hp direct drive engine...Should I use 24:1 or 50:1 fuel ratio on this one? The plugs that are in it are Champion J-4's...Can anyone tell me if that is the correct plug?
Thanks
Ken

Looked it up and a 4206 is a 1972 4HP. It is also a 1937 1.4HP, go figure....
50:1 mix
The chart I have lists it as a J6C plug. The J4C's will work fine. You might want to get J6C's if you do alot of trolling.

Re: Need info on light twin

Hi... Thanks very much for the info on my 4206 evinrude...I'll probably go with the J-6 plugs, as I will be running @ low speed quite a lot. First thing I'll do is get the service manual and replace the water pump. :) Interesting that omc used the same model# for two such different engines....Again, thanks for your input and I look forward to participating further in this forum....Ken
