Re: Twins or Tigers? 1 Game Tiebreaker

I'm a Tigers fan all the way. But the Twins have a more balanced team. Detroit's ace may be a better pitcher but that's all we have over Minnesota, and he's not pitching. If Porcello can pitch a gem or the bats some how come alive, maybe we have a chance, but if the pitching is average and the sticks are cold it's gonna be over early. I'll go 4-1 Twins.

The Tigers can't handle the Twins at Comerica Park, much less at the Metrodome.

Man what a game last night!

Too bad Curtis Granderson got caught on that double play...and too bad Brandon Inge didn't get the freebie when his jersey was hit by the pitch, guess he should've taken that one "for the team" LOL :)

Congratulations to the Twins and their fans(Redfury, Bart Sr., Rogerwa etc.)...we Tigers fans just have one request...

BEAT THE DANG YANKEES PLEASE:D:D

Gee, even I, being a Twins fan, would have rooted for the Brewers...

My wife is from Michigan and is a Tigers/Lions fan. She doesn't have a whole lot to root for this year.

My 2 favorite baseball teams, the Twins and whoever beats the Yankees.:)

Tell your wife that MSU basketball season is right around the corner and we will be making another run in the tourney(we only lost 2 seniors that have already been replaced).:D:D

Re: Twins or Tigers? 1 Game Tiebreaker

I was at the game yesterday and, let me tell you, it was the second best game I have been to. The first being the final game of the '87 World Series they won on my birthday.

the game itself was very exciting and engaging, especially in the last innings. The environment was unbelieveable with all the standing fans waving the white homer hankies.

What I liked was the end of the game and watching the truye excitement from the players when they rushed the field and then proceeed to make rounds through the stadium thanking fans.

I would say its the best $20 I have spent in a while (not counting the $15 parking, $6.50 Beer, and $5.00 hotdog of course).

Through connections I was able to get strips of tickets through the playoffs which I sold to my FIL and BIL. I think I probably saw the best game of the series already. But who knows..

I believe that they will miss the Dome next year as this would have been a miserable, if not canceled, game if we were in the new stadium with no cover.

Twins haven't beat the Yankees all season. Looks like the playoffs isn't going to turn that around either..... I hope they get it together soon......
